Almost everything about the latest generation truck is new, including the suspension. Dodge abandoned the coil spring / solid axle setup in favor of an independent front suspension similar to those in use under late-model Chevy and Ford ½-ton trucks. Factory ride quality has improved substantially. 1995-1999 Dodge 3/4-ton Ram 2500 Pickup 4WD w/ 1.16" Track Bar Mounting Flange We retain the Ram's peachy factory ride quality by using taller coils with the stock spring rate. The key to our system is tubular radius arms that replace the factory 4-link setup. We found that on a ½-ton truck, at 5" of lift, the radius arms improve overall control and drivability. The new radius arms are constructed of beefy, 1.5" diameter, .120" wall thickness DOM tubing and feature Urethane eye bushings. Grease fittings at the eye pivot points ensure a "squeak free" ride and increase bushing life. A braced cast steel track bar relocation bracket maintains proper axle position and prevents ball stud bind at the bars upper end. A new forged pitman arms keeps the drag link and tie rod angles in check. Also included are swaybar relocation brackets, compression travel stop brackets, front axle extention limiting straps and Superide™ shocks.
