The 2" front coil springs are ideal for just a touch of front lift, or to offset ride height lost from the installation of a heavy winch / bumper or snow plow. The only other components used in the 2" front leveling kit are new urethane compression travel stops.

In 2002 we endowed our engineers with the task of building the best riding Super-Duty springs on the planet. Their finished product, a true success story, is our Superide Select series of springs. These springs feature a 10-leaf pack that produces a much flatter spring rate curve. A smooth, linear rate curve - one without drastic rate spikes - is the primary key to good ride quality. This is accomplished by using a higher number of thin leaf plates. The overall spring is thicker, but its rate curve is more ideal.

The 3" lift system raises the front 3" and the rear 11/2". This method includes replacement Superide springs for a ride quality that is as good, or better, than factory. Note that the replacement springs have 5-leafs; more leafs are not needed at this relatively low ride height. Other components include a new track bar bracket to prevent steering wheel "kick", and front / rear Superide shocks with yellow boots.

This "lift friendly" Ford suspension design features a solid (one-piece) front axle with coil springs and radius arms. The rear is a common leaf spring design. Front lift is achieved via new pre-set coils. Note that Superlift raises the vehicle's rear slightly less than the front in order to reduce the factory "nose-down" stance; this is common throughout the suspension industry. The most popular and least expensive method of rear lift is via lift blocks.
2006-2006 Dodge Ram 1500 Mega Cab 4WD V-8 Hemi

The F.I.T. design concept, new to the aftermarket suspension lift industry, incorporates several key design features. It starts with one-piece, high-clearance lower control arm crossmembers made of .25" thick steel. The front and rear crossmembers are connected by a flush-mounted skid-pan that seals-off and protects the entire differential. The pan and crossmembers connect via an interlocking fit that is effectively seamless, made stronger yet by the use of countersunk fasteners.

The factory upper control arms, mounted on top of the frame rails, are retained. New CNC machined knuckle assemblies are provided to span the increased distance between the upper and lower control arms. Superlift's geometry – from steering linkage angles, to driveshaft and CV axle operating angles – yields optimal component service life and exceptionally good drivability. In fact, most drivers prefer a Superlift equipped truck's ride quality and flat cornering characteristics over that of a stock Dodge's.

Long add-a-leafs lift the rear 2" to 2.5". The leafs also help eliminate factory rear spring "chatter", or wrap-up, especially when used in conjunction with our rear double-shock system. The system includes Superide gas shocks for the front and hydraulics for the rear that are valved specifically for the Dodge.

2007-2007 Dodge Ram 1500 Mega Cab 4WD V-8 Hemi
This "lift friendly" Ford suspension design features a solid (one-piece) front axle with coil springs and radius arms. The rear is a common leaf spring design. Two radius arms (one per side) connect the front axle to the frame rails. The arms' rear ends are stationary, so as ride height is increased the upper ball joints rotate forward and proper caster angle is lost. Vehicles with insufficient positive caster angle tend to drift and wander, especially on sub-standard driving surfaces. At this lift height, caster angle is restored with 4 degree Urethane C-bushings; we also recommend Urethane radius arm and track bar bushings.

With 5.5" of lift, caster is restored with radius arm lowering brackets, although we recommend also replacing the C-bushings and radius arm bushings.

The block height listed in the Application Guide should level-off the vehicle (front to rear) if your stock rear springs are in good condition. If a vehicle this old actually has "good condition" springs, it generally means that the sagging factory springs were replaced at some point or beefed-up by adding leafs. If sagging rear springs have not been addressed, you will need additional lift. In this case we recommend using our add-a-leafs or replacement rear lift springs as opposed to taller lift blocks. If a different "build" than what's listed in the vehicle's Application Guide is desired, simply order what is needed in component form. Superide replacement rear lift springs, if offered, are listed in the vehicle's Application Guide; add-a-leafs and different height block kits are found in their own web section.

The arms' rear ends are stationary, so as ride height is increased the upper ball joints rotate forward and proper caster angle is lost. Vehicles with insufficient positive caster angle tend to drift and wander, especially on sub-standard driving surfaces. Even though this lift height is minimal, we do suggest that caster be restored by installing degreed Urethane C-bushings. We also recommend upgrading the radius arm and track bar bushings to Urethane.
If rear lift is desired, lift blocks or add-a-leafs are available. Other options include (depending on model): Superide shock absorbers, single or dual steering stabilizers and traction bars.

We also recommend upgrading the C-bushings and radius arm bushings with Urethane units.

This truck was nicknamed the "Low Boy" because of its sled-like factory ride height. Double check 1977 models because of a midyear model change. Low Boys have a factory 2 or 3-leaf front spring pack while early 1977 models have a 5-leaf pack.

Ford's Twin Traction Beam (TTB) suspension, used on both 2WD and 4WD models, features coil springs, two front axle "beams" and radius arms. With this design, as front ride height is raised, the tops of the tires lean outward creating positive camber angle. Increasing ride height also creates a more-negative caster angle. Click here for more info on these critical steering geometry terms.
Superlift offers three different height lift systems: 1" to 2", 4", and 6". Each system addresses camber, caster and steering linkage geometry.

Generally, this moderate lift is used to level-up your vehicle, and / or to offset the weight of a winch / bumper or snow plow. Lift is achieved with new progressive rate coil springs that provide the best possible ride quality (Click here for more info on coils). The net lift height you achieve depends on what load-rated springs your vehicle is factory-equipped with and their condition.
Negative camber is corrected by replacing the factory camber bushings, located on top of the upper ball joints. Ford dealers and alignment shops offer replacement camber bushings in set increments of correction up to 2-degrees. Superlift offers adjustable camber bushings with an increased correction range. Generally, this increased range allows the alignment shop to correct camber, and also improve caster angle.
Factory length shock absorbers will bolt-up, but most will top-out prematurely. If rear lift is desired, refer to the Rear Block Kits or Add-A-Leafs sections.
